Re: new travis court collection china hutch

I have the same Drexel Travis Court china cabinet that the 2 top drawers were stolen out of. Made for easy packing of the Silverware I guess. :(

Does anyone have a beater to sale the drawers out of or know where I can buy 2 top drawers for this cabinet?
I have the bottom on but it is about 1/2 inch taller than the top ones.

Re: new travis court collection china hutch

Since you have mentioned that you found this furniture in a storage building so you can sell it may be to a furniture house that is willing to pay you a decent price. I too had three red cushions that belonged to the sofa set in my home when I sold the sofa I asked them to take the cushions to and if they would add new covers or whoever they can sell those red cushions as well. They were happy!

Re: new travis court collection china hutch

Drexel was not making furniture of this type in 1902, they didn't open for business until 1903 ;~). The Travis Court line was introduced during the late 1940's.

Since you person mentioned that you initiate this furnishings,VCP-510  in a store,  building so you can,350-001  transact it may be to a furnishings refuge that is willing to pay you a decorous toll. I too had digit red cushions that belonged to the lounge set abode,  when I sold the lounge I asked them to move the cushions to and if they would add new covers,640-802  or whoever they can cozen those red cushions as healed

Re: new travis court collection china hutch

A lot depends on your local market, the economic conditions there and the number of similar pieces currently offered for sale..... so anywhere from $400.00- $1000.00.

i have a similar hutch but it is cherry wood. not quite as elegant as the one shown but not bad if i do say so myself "lol". i am tryin to find info on mine...it says 353-3PS New Travis Court Collection by Drexel 651 on the back of the base and top "shelve" unit. does this mean it predates 1974 like the above comment says? if you guys or gals have info please write or comment me.....PLEASE!

Selling Your Items

How you sell them depends on what you are trying to do.  Do you have a fixed price that you want to sell your items for?  If so then you can place a free Classified Ad here.  If you want to auction your item then eBay is the place to make it happen.

Enjoy,

Joseph

I have a bunch of pieces from this collection.  How do I sell them?

age of china cabinet

The New Travis Court line was an original "Drexel" line introduced during the late 1940's. The company became " Drexel Heritage" in 1974. Anything marked "Drexel" predates 1974.

age of china cabinet

Hi  - I have the same cabinet and mine is dated on the back Jan 49 (stamped in same letters as the New Travis Court Drexel).

The "Drexel Heirtage" mark

The "Drexel Heirtage" mark was not used until the two companies merged in 1974.

I think your cabinet is older than 1974.  I have the same cabinet and it was made in 1966.  Hope it helps

Well some must be, I know I

Well some must be, I know I pop in and do 3-5 everyday ;~). In the case of your piece it's a Post 1974 reproduction of 18th Century English Georgian furniture. Drexel acquired the successful Heritage Furniture Company from High Point, North Carolina. The two companies operated as separate divisions until 1974, when Drexel Enterprises and Heritage Furniture Company became Drexel Heritage. Value wise about $3500.00.

Re: new travis court collection china hutch

I have this china hutch with matching buffet.  They are both new travis court collection by Drexel, so they predate 1975.  Does anyone know the worth of the set or where I could sell them for a decent price together?  Thanks!

Re: new travis court collection china hutch

The market being what it is right now it's difficult to get a decent price for anything but the upper end pieces. Values vary considerably across the country. I would suggest checking "Sold"auction values at  www.liveauctioneers.com and adding about 30% to give you a current retail.

Do you still have pieces from this set for sale.  I'm interested in the table.

Re: new travis court collection china hutch

Hi-

Unfortunately I didn't know the value of the pieces and donated the table, leaves and chairs to charity.  I do have the above hutch and matching buffet.

Re: new travis court collection china hutch

I have a New Travis Court dining room table. It was purchased new in the early to mid fifties, never left my parent's house, and is in very good condition. I also have six chairs from the collection and a buffet. One of the chairs has arms. I live in NJ and don't want to get involved in shipping, so I'm looking for a local sale.
